Welcome to my blog which I named Life Across the Lake, named so because my life and love takes me from my home to a life across the lake. Lake Ontario.
During the past 17 years for half of the year I drive from Ontario to NY State, across the lake to a wonderful weekend or vacation time spent with my significant other. The other half year is spent in Ontario when he travels to my place. The drive is only about 3 hours if we plan the driving to avoid rush hour and Friday nights in particular and the great highways that take us to the border. Otherwise you never know just how long the drive may be.
It has been a lot of "the best of both worlds". We have our time to ourselves during the week and we always can't wait to be together on the weekend even after 17 years!
My family lives here and his lives just across the lake! After 17 years I think we need to decide just what ARE we going to do....and we will...
I have many interests and crafts and hobbies and at my Etsy shop I sell delicious sugar cookies that I decorate and cupcakes and cakes. I've had other ventures and it seems that whenever I start a new hobby I end up making sales. Funny how that goes.
I can't wait to share with you some of the things that I enjoy doing and my life on this side of Lake Ontario and my life across the lake. I welcome positive comments to read and they give me a chance to visit back too.
